Students Fundraising for INQUEST

We are delighted that as part of the Edinburgh Students’ Charities Appeal on November the 7th Lucy Bowden and Emma Coles are raising much needed funds for INQUEST.

Lucy and Emma say:

“the charity we will be raising money for is called INQUEST. INQUEST is a charity which campaigns on behalf of, and advises, bereaved families with a particular focus on deaths in custody. It also advises MPs, the media and lawyers about the number of deaths in custody and to bring about changes to decrease that number. INQUEST is entirely reliant on donations from the public so any money will be greatly received. We have chosen Inquest as they are fearless campaigners for justice; and we believe, like them, that everyone should have the opportunity for support after the death of a loved one, no matter where they died. INQUEST works tirelessly, with over 350 open cases at any one time, to assist grieving families, so the money we raise will be put to good use. This is a really worthwhile charity to give money to and we need to raise £500 in order to participate in this fundraising exercise, but obviously we are aiming to raise a lot more for such a great cause. Thanks again. Emma and Lucy."
